Lost luggage

Loss of baggage is a violation of the contract of carriage, in which the carrier, after the expiration of the established period for delivery and after the expiration of the period for searching for undelivered baggage, cannot issue the baggage accepted for carriage to the eligible recipient, regardless of whether this happened due to its actual loss, sending or erroneous delivery at an intermediate airport. The baggage that was not found during the search for 21 days should be considered lost.

If the baggage that the passenger did not receive is not found, the applicant has the right to file a claim for compensation for damage and its consideration in accordance with the established rules.

Baggage is considered lost if it is not found during the search within 21 calendar days from the date following the date when the baggage was supposed to arrive at the destination. In this case, the search service must inform the passenger in writing about the loss of baggage, offer to send a claim for compensation to the first or last carrier, transfer all available material on the search for baggage, depending on the situation, to the claim services of the airport or airline for consideration of the passenger's claim and resolving the issue of compensation for damage.
