Vladivostok is a port city on the Russian Pacific coast. It is located on the shores of the Golden Horn, close to the borders with China and North Korea. It is the terminus of the Trans-Siberian Railway, seven days by train from Moscow. A monument to the soldiers who took part in the war with Japan at the beginning of the 20th century is erected on the central square of the city.
