Winter timetable 2019–2020: new flights and reduced connection times
Uzbekistan Airways NJSC, in order to improve the quality of service, has developed a strategy to increase direct passenger traffic from far and near abroad and attract transit passengers.
The new winter timetable, which comes into force on October 27, 2019, is built on the principle of a "fan" and involves the use of the Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov as a "hub" for flights of the NAC and partner companies.
This allows you to increase the commercial efficiency of transportation and make air travel in almost any direction with a minimum amount of time.
In addition, the positive aspects are:
- Providing connections between European flights and flights to the CIS with flights to Southeast Asia, the Middle East and back within 1-6 hours, which complies with international standards. The total number of connections is about 900 in all directions
- Due to the reduction in the time for docking, a better product is offered to the market that can attract business passengers and tourists to NAC flights
- Simplification of the process of sending transit passengers in case of flight cancellation for any reason. Passengers are sent on flights in the direction of the canceled flight and then by other companies to the destination, which allows NAC to reduce the costs of keeping passengers until the next flight
The frequency of international flights, compared to the previous winter navigation season, will change towards a significant increase. Increased the frequency of flights to:
- Istanbul - up to 14 flights per week from Tashkent and 3 flights per week from Samarkand
- Jeddah - up to 14 times a week (2 flights daily)
- Baku - up to 3 flights per week
New flights planned to:
- Jakarta - twice a week (separated from flights to Kuala Lumpur).
- Tbilisi - 2 times a week.
