 On July 2, 2019, at 18:35, the fifth Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner of the National Airline of Uzbekistan landed at the Tashkent International Airport named after I. Karimov. 

An intimate meeting of the new airliner was held at the capital's airport with the participation of the management and employees of the Uzbekiston Havo Yollari NJSC, representatives of the public of the republican and foreign media.

The non-stop flight from Seattle to Tashkent lasting twelve and a half hours was completed successfully. The new aircraft was piloted by the crew of the National Airline of Uzbekistan: pilot-inspector of the Flight Complex of the NAC Joseph Zak and the commander of the Boeing 787 aircraft Malik Akhmedov.

Before arriving in Tashkent, the aircraft passed flight and ground tests at the Boeing airfield in Everett. NAC specialists from the number of flight and technical personnel who carried out the acceptance of the fifth "Dreamliner" of the airline, during test flights, checked all the mechanisms of the airliner and worked out the necessary procedures.

The new aircraft, registered with registration number UK78705, is powered by GE Aviation's GEnx-1B turbofan jet engines, providing low noise levels, minimal CO2 emissions and better fuel efficiency. It is the fourth aircraft of the airline to have a satellite communications station for broadband Internet access in-flight.

Panasonic Avionics Corporation is the provider of in-flight communications and the provider of In flight Entertainment and Connectivity, as on the A320neo of NAC and the previous Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.

The new airliner was also purchased as part of an investment project to update and expand the NAC aircraft fleet with modern aviation technology to ensure competitiveness and flight safety. It is designed to carry 246 passengers: 24 in business class and 222 in economy class. A spacious cabin, comfortable and wide seats, new flooring, lighting and noise insulation, personal HD touch screens for using entertainment programs, Wi-Fi for Internet access - will provide Uzbekiston Havo Yollari passengers with maximum comfort and an exciting time in flight. < / p>

Note that the National Airline of Uzbekistan became the first customer of the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner in Central Asia. NAC began their commercial operation in September 2016. Currently, this type of airliner operates flights to the countries of Europe, Asia, America, from Alaska to New Zealand.

In 2020, in accordance with development plans, Uzbekistan Airways will have six airliners of this type in its fleet and will become the leading operator of such aircraft in the CIS.
