Uzbekistan Airways: we plan to resume regular flights to Russia

Uzbekistan Airways expects to resume regular flights to and from Russia in the near future.

The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has sent a request to the RF Commission on Counteracting Coronavirus all information about the current epidemiological situation with COVID-19 in the country.

“While we are waiting for a response from the Russian side. I think that in March-April there will be some positive result, "- said the Deputy Minister of Transport of the country Zhasurbek Choriev.

Uzbekistan meets all the conditions established by the Russian Federation for the resumption of regular flights.

The situation with the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 in the country has stabilized. Vaccination of citizens began, including the Sputnik V vaccine. In addition, it is planned to manufacture this vaccine in Uzbekistan, as Kazakhstan has already done. This means that vaccination will become widespread.

International flights were suspended in March 2020

Uzbekistan Airways has organized export charter flights for compatriots and foreign citizens.

Since September 2020, a gradual restoration of flights to Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and Kyrgyzstan began.

By March 2021, there are regular flights to Tajikistan, Germany and India.

The flight program from Russian cities continues to be carried out in the mode of special flights, only if there is a certificate with a negative result of the PCR test for COVID-19.
