According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, from January 1, 2021, it will be possible to leave the Republic only with a biometric passport (red). Reissuance of air tickets issued with a "green passport" until January 31, 2021 is free of charge

From February 1, 2021, a service fee of 10 euros will be charged for reissuing air tickets from a regular one to a foreign passport. Tickets booked with a green passport will be canceled 3 days before departure due to the lack of valid departure documents.

This applies to all countries, including the CIS countries: Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan.

If the passenger does not have a new foreign passport, the passenger is offered a full refund of the ticket without a voucher in the form and currency of the initial payment. Refunds are made at the place of purchase of the ticket.

If the passenger has a foreign passport, the tickets will need to be reissued for a new passport, otherwise, within 1-2 days, the seats will be canceled by the carrier's decision, due to the lack of valid documents to travel outside the country.

To draw up a document, you must contact the internal affairs bodies at your place of residence. The cost of obtaining a passport will be about 267,000 soums.

If a citizen is on permanent consular registration abroad (residence permit), he must submit documents to the consular offices of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

To obtain a biometric passport, you must provide the following documents:

  • Application form  the established sample 
  • Biometric passport or birth certificate
  • Biometric passport for traveling abroad (if available)
  • Receipt of payment of the state duty, amounting to 120% of BRV
  • Two photos 3.5 × 4.5 (no photography allowed with a headdress, colored lenses or glasses)

Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan under 18 years of age must also present a biometric passport to travel abroad, for which additional documents will be required:

  • Notarized, certified consent of parents or guardians to travel abroad
  • Notarized commitment of the person accompanying the citizen

We remind you that Citizens aged 15 to 18 years, with the notarized consent of parents, guardians, trustees for the independent departure of a minor, can travel abroad unaccompanied.

A biometric passport of a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan is issued for a period of:

  • From birthday to 1 year - for a period of 2 years
  • From 1 to 16 years of age - for 5 years
  • Persons over 16 years of age - for a period of 10 years
