The first flight Kabul - Tashkent
Fulfilling the instructions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to strengthen the role of the country as a regional transport air hub, which will connect the capitals of the region with Europe and Asia, the National Airline continues to involve airlines of neighboring countries in cooperation.
Today, the Afghan airline "Kam Air" carried out the first flight on the route Kabul - Tashkent.
Afghanistan is a friendly neighboring state, and civil aviation acts as a catalyst for the development of bilateral relations, a bridge connecting two cultures and economies.
If earlier passengers from Afghanistan flew to Tashkent only through Istanbul or Dubai, spending from 17 to 32 hours, now there is an opportunity to get from Kabul to Tashkent directly, in just an hour and a half.
Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport acts as a hub airport that will be used by Kam Air passengers for connecting flights to Germany, Great Britain and other European countries.
The new flight is only part of the multilateral interaction of the two airlines. International agreements were signed on training Afghan civil aviation pilots at the Flight School of the NAC of Uzbekistan, as well as on the maintenance of Kam Air aircraft at Uzbekistan Airways Technics.
The implementation of the first flight was preceded by extensive preliminary work of the Uzbek-Afghan interdepartmental working group, which worked out the issues of ensuring security with a visit to the site. Passenger boarding procedure at Kabul International Airport named after Hamid Karzai meets all international aviation safety requirements.
Zamari Kamgar , owner and founder of Kamgar Group, Afghan businessman:
- We are proud that our airline, which became the first private commercial airline in Afghanistan, is opening flights between the two capitals. I would like to emphasize that Kam Air is a growing airline in Afghanistan, employing professionals of the highest level.
