 Since January 8, 2018, the airline has launched an interactive service “ Seat selection  "on the flights of Uzbekistan Airways. 

At this stage, the service is provided on Airbus A-320 aircraft to neighboring countries. Subsequently, it is planned to introduce this type of service in all areas.

The service of preliminary selection and reservation of seats is provided on international flights of the NAC both on a paid and free basis in accordance with the seat map of the aircraft performing the flight.

A small number of paid seats with a certain number are offered in the most comfortable areas of the NAC aircraft cabins, located in the first rows of the aircraft. The choice of most of the seats is available for booking free of charge in the preferred area of the aircraft cabin according to the paid class of service.

Rules for pre-selection and reservation of seats

 Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD-A) & nbsp;  - EMD associated (associated) with a passenger ticket in the carrier's electronic database. A document that exists in the form of an electronic record in the database, drawn up by the carrier or its authorized agent for the collection of various fees for services and charges related to the execution of the passenger carriage agreement, as well as the return of amounts due to the passenger in accordance with the rules established by the airline.

 Preselection and seat reservation - & nbsp;  a service that allows the passenger, after purchasing a ticket, to select and reserve a specific seat in the aircraft cabin for his trip. The service also allows you to select and reserve a seat in the passenger's preferred area, for example, by the window, by the aisle, in the front, center or at the end of the aircraft cabin. The service is provided both on a paid and free basis and is available in a certain period before the scheduled flight departure. On a paid basis, passengers are invited to choose and book the most comfortable seats available in the aircraft cabins.

 1. General provisions 

1.1. These Rules determine the procedure for the preliminary selection and booking of seats in the aircraft cabins on regular flights of the NJSC "Uzbekistan Airways".

1.2. The provision of the service of preliminary selection and booking of seats in the cabins of the NAC aircraft is subject to the applicable laws, rules and regulations of the state authorities of any country on the territory of which the sale of passenger transportation of the NAC and related services is carried out.

1.3. The service of preliminary selection and reservation of seats is provided on international flights of the NAC both on a paid and free basis in accordance with the seat map of the aircraft performing the flight. A limited number (no more than 30%) of the most comfortable seats in economy class cabins is determined on each type of aircraft for preliminary paid booking.

1.4. Pre-selection and reservation of seats is made after the air ticket has been issued within the period set for the performance of such a service.

1.5. Pre-selection and booking of all categories of seats in the aircraft cabins begins 45 days before the scheduled departure of the flight. The provision of this service ends no later than 24 hours before the scheduled departure of the flight. The seats left unbooked after the specified period are allocated during the check-in of passengers before the departure of the flight in accordance with the established check-in procedure.

1.6. The airline can provide the passenger with a paid seat of his choice with a specific number in the most comfortable areas of the NAC aircraft cabins. The passenger can also choose a free seat with a certain number or a seat in their preferred area in the cabin of the service class they paid for.

1.7. The provision of pre-booked seats located at emergency exits (seats with the E code in the aircraft seat maps) is not provided for the following categories of passengers:

  • passengers with children;
  • for passengers with a group booking;
  • seriously ill passengers, including passengers on stretchers, passengers with disabilities, passengers moving in wheelchairs, with intellectual disabilities and developmental delays;
  • passengers who are blind and deaf and accompanied by specially trained service dogs;
  • passengers transported under escort;
  • passengers carrying small animals in the aircraft cabins weighing no more than 8 kg together with a container / cage;
  • passengers carrying baggage in the cabin on an additional passenger seat;
  • passengers with oxygen cylinders;
  • passengers under the age of 18;

The above categories of passengers are accommodated in the aircraft cabin during check-in, taking into account aviation security requirements.

EXCEPTIONS are passengers with children and passengers under the age of 18, who can use the service of pre-selection and booking of seats when purchasing a ticket.

 2. Rules for pre-selection and booking of free seats 

2.1. All seats available on the aircraft are provided for free preliminary selection of a seat, except for seats offered for selection on a paid basis, as well as seats located at emergency exits.

2.2. With free preselection and seat reservations, passengers can request the following types of preferred seating arrangements:

  • window seat;
  • aisle seat;
  • place to left;
  • place to the right;
  • seat in the center of the salon;

2.3. When changing the type of aircraft operating the flight, combining the load of flights, in malfunctioning and other situations in which a passenger who has previously selected and booked a free seat may lose the previously provided accommodation, the airline will provide him with any free seat that will be available when passing passenger check-in. At the same time, passengers of special categories will be offered to accommodate seats specially designated on board the aircraft for the respective categories of passengers.

 3. Rules for pre-selection and booking of paid seats 

3.1. To pay for the pre-selection service and booking paid seats in the priority zones selected by the passenger, the following rates are set:

  •  for places with codes (at the window) and (at the aisle) - 25,000 UZS when selling the service in the territory of the RU and 5 EUR  when selling the service in foreign countries;
  •  for seats in the first row of economy class salons - 100,000 UZS when selling the service in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan and 20 EUR  when selling the service in foreign countries.

3.2. For paid preliminary selection and booking, seats are offered located in the most comfortable zones of the aircraft cabins. No seats are offered for such reservations:

  • with non-reclining backrests;
  • reserved for the accommodation of passengers of special categories - passengers with disabilities, passengers with small children, unaccompanied children;
  • reserved for aircraft crews, technical personnel and other categories of officials placed on board to perform official duties during the flight;

3.3. For the paid pre-selection and booking service, seats with specific numbers are available:

  • priority seating - first row of economy class lounges;
  • seats near portholes;
  • aisle seats;

3.4. When preselecting and booking seats by several passengers who have a single booking, you can choose seats provided both on a paid and free basis. At the same time, for passengers who have chosen paid seats, an EMD must be issued in the amount of the cost of the service provided.

3.5. If a passenger who has paid for the pre-selection and seat reservation service wants to change the departure date and no reissuance of the ticket is required, and after making changes to the reservation, the e-ticket is revalidated, then:

  • cancel the preselection of a seat;
  • change the departure date in the booking and save the changes made;
  • revalidate the ticket for the new departure date;
  • make a preliminary selection of a seat for a new departure date and fix it;
  • changes made to the reservation;
  • revalidate EMD on a new departure date;
